The hour time limit to do the slot quest is not reasonable for new players at the moment
The slots are very chip hungry at the moment, overall I just lost 7000 chips to hit the 2500 target. If I had run out of chips it's a very slow process to get back the chips in the quantity needed to complete the mission given the time limits on the other missions. So I suggest either a longer time limit on the slot quest for everyone or a level based time limit with under level 5's having no time limit at all. The other realistic option would be to make the 2500 chip target level based or user selectable when taking out the mission? With say 4 choices like win 100, 300, 700, 2500 and a pro rata'd reward. Later on when there are more options for gaining chips it may not be such a big deal, but at the moment I feel it is unbalanced for the game today.

Slots now scale with player level. At level 1, the win requirement is much lower.
Also, we’ll be adjusting slot machine odds (favorably) again within the next week or two.

That high voted feature is a good idea, and one we want to implement in some form. We want to design it so it's done correctly, and prevent sneaky players from cheating.
We do, however, have a something similar coming soon. So stay posted.

I know they can be played 24hrs, but without a mission it's kind of like "virtual financial suicide" lol.
Oh YES PLEASE add additional slot missions, then it's fine! :D It's just that now the only solide "gameplay" is playing slots, but due to that cooldown it makes me quit the game. But having another mission on slots would solve the issue (depending on what kind of slot mission it is lol).

The other important thing I forgot to mention:
We'll be adding additional slots missions as well so that slots don't seem to become irrelevant and that you're wasting your time without a mission. You should be able to rotate these missions when not playing one or the other.

Slots themselves are unlimited. You don't need the mission to play them.
We have no intentions of forcing anybody out of any gameplay. That is why poker and slots themselves can be played 24 hours a day if you'd like. It's only the mission itself that has a cooldown.
Sorry that the other mission options are still limited. We're working on that as quickly as possible.

It's not so bad that it's "failed", however you don't get the reward which means you lose out on playing slots compared to if you completed mission. Since the reset I just quit the game when I have to wait 10 minutes. It really sucks, I even tried to do something else... but really the exploration mission and racings don't make up for the 10 minutes.
There is no point in the game forcing you to do all missions (due to cooldown). If I'm on a roll doing slots, why force me to do something else? That's what kills the gameplay.
If you keep cooldown, then do something based on level as fresh players will definitely quit the game.
I have seen these kind of "game settings" before by companies thinking a certain way, while actual hands on gaming shows it doesn't work. I'm afraid this is one of those occasions.Really I can't stress enough how "bummer" it feels whenever you got a "high" of completing a slots missions to then find out you can't play anymore. It's like gamble addicts that can only play slots till they get paid out and then have to wait till next day lol.

@Animatic, we understand it doesn't seem fair in those circumstances. However, there is no penalty for failing the slots mission (other than waiting 10 minutes to do it again). The big "MISSION FAILED" text is a little foreboding, but that's the worst of it.
We always intended to add time limits to the missions. The time limit allows us to increase the reward, because of the higher mission risk. In the long run, this will make the game much more fun.

I don't like the time limit on the slots mission. And I also don't like the cooldown on the slots mission. For slots should be an option if you want to give the "scaling" to have lesser reward and no limit on it. What if you are playing now and suddenly need to leave the game? If you are close to reaching your completion you need to start over >_< Especially for new players this sucks.

We're planning on scaling the mission requirements/reward of the slots mission with player level. Very similar to what you've suggested.
We still want the time limit to be low enough so that you're feeling the pressure, but not low enough to cause grief.

Please don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the slots don't pay, because they do, but the range is huge and if a relative newbie (<lv5) has a bad luck streak on this slot quest to get the 2500 then it's very likely to wipe them out and may deter them from coming back. 2500 is fun to do now I'm past the lv5 point, before it was a real time consuming chore and twice I was nearly wiped out and the second time prompted me to write the original post.
