This could also be used to have feedback from the NPC's. With option to filter on x time and filter NPC/Real Player Comments

We are actually planning an art marketplace, which I think is close to what you are describing. However, the point where I think it might differ is that wall art would be created and sold by players, so that the more popular art would generate revenue for the artist (player). Thanks!

Originally I was thinking people could make "art" themselves and sell it like you mention. Then I figured it must be too hard to code in and still keep it balanced.
If I understand you correctly you mean to say selling of item would be static, but popular player artist can earn more as he sells more of the same item?
It would be nice from a buyers perspective for having added benefits for buying such items. Which would open up a new way of game play. But you could use an algorithm taking into account total pieces sold by artist and total of that specific item being sold in order to calculate current value.

The first part of this is actually right along the lines of what we have planned (missions will loosely fit into a storyline and be more involved as we move through beta). The multiplayer aspect of some missions is a great idea, thanks!

Sounds cool. You could have labelled it as "suggestion". Perhaps only include this from casino level 4 and above (when they are big enough). Also have people build casino's, restaurants. That way people can choose how they "tycoon" the game. And working together would improve gameplay. Say many low level casino's around a hotel. Or level 5 casino which is self-sufficient.
Goldfire is not keen on implementing this as it would have huge impact on inflation in-game. But perhaps a more creative solution for the problem: pawn shop --> you "sell" items to the owner and the longer you wait to retrieve it the more interest you need to pay, wait too long and it gets sold off.
