Get rid of the mission animation
You need to ditch the animations for the missions. They interfere with game play all over the place. from bomb drops, to pickups, missions, bonus rounds. it prevents renewing missions (sometimes). Those animations are bad news.
They are attractively designed ... but they gotta go!

We’ve got some more tweaks coming to these animations in the next update.

Get rid of those animations. Too much game interference. Every 'failed' mission animation lingers and lingers. Often, I'm ready to click something and I end up clicking decline instead of retry, cuz I was aiming for something else. Sometimes it just declines by itself when it pops up ... who knows why???
Someone showed me a screen of them trying to buy cp when, at the same time, the animations popped up. Well ... they couldn't complete the transaction. The simple little screen that showed up before, wasn't intrusive. Get rid of the animation. It's too interfering.

Something else that occurs with mission animation - failure announcements. this occurs when I'm on a bomb floor (my casino) and open the editor. if the mission failure animation pops up, all bomb items on the floor disappear. I must refresh to get them to re-display. This happens 100% of the time.

I'm still having issues with these animations that popup when you fail ... especially when working on a task where seconds count and clicking on the wrong thing can happen, cuz the animation is in the way. It displays for far too long. The animation that plays when you grab the mission is short. Makes the fails and completions the same length.

Well, this isn't good. I lost another slot mission, because of an inadvertent click ... took a few min to realize it was missing while doing other stuff. So, I had to go pick it up again. After trying to grab the second slot mission, the completion animation played and I got impatient waiting (and waiting and waiting) for the animation to get out of the way (I feel like spend so much time waiting in this game) ... that I accidentally ignited a bomb out on the street ... and that pmo. I'm so not impressed, Ditch the animations ... too much game interference. Cost me 50 cp!

The screen displays an animation telling me that I failed, then when I select retry, it displays again. when the "fail' displays (taking over my screen ... unexpectedly), I end up declining (unintentionally) because I was aiming for something else on the screen at the time. It's very frustrating. I normally grab a mission when I show up in the game, then go about my business, looking after things in the game, I'll be clicking and that pops up. When I'm grabbing the mission in the first place, I'm expecting the screen ... but not when I fail. it interferes with game play.

What do you mean the failed animation animates the coin twice?
-
Cowtoon commented
The failed mission animates the coin twice - so very unnecessary. The failed animation periodically displays when I'm in the middle of a game where time and/or choice is critical ... I end up missing or clicking the wrong the thing because of the animation display obscures the view and for far too long :(.
I also notice there's no way to determine if a sprint has started with the new layout. We used to be able to determine if it had started or not. This is important when we're in battle and doing other things between or during sprints and can't tell if it's been started or not. You improved the look of the sprint status, but took away a function. :(

I know for me, the solitaire animation when you win completely lags and bogs down the game, while the old one is just fine.

I agree that when retrying the mission the animation should display once it's annoying to have the thing spin then spin again.
However I love the interface

I want to add that they are especially unnecessary when a mission fails (or needs to be retried) ... don't need the animation to play twice (at that juncture); is too so 'in-your-face'. Sometimes I step away from a mission and decide to work on a casino floor. That interface is bad enough, without interference from a failed mission animation.

maybe a setting in settings where we could turn off certain or all animations ??
