SUGGESTIONS FOR WAR
I have noticed so many comments & suggestions during or after every war so let’s finally address the changes we would like to see. PLEASE let’s keep this as a civil & constructive post in order to make positive changes that we would like to see.
I don’t believe we need the “surprise factor” of having to wait for the 3 day random date war notice. If we know when to expect war every month we can plan around it.
Some prefer to play during the week & others over a weekend. The easiest way to solve this would be for war to fall evenly over weekday/weekend. Perhaps one month Thurs morning to Sunday morning & the following month Thursday evening to Sunday evening, thus allowing everybody the same amount of time of working hours/weekend hours.
Bringing both point 1 & point 2 into this, i.e. fixed date & days – hold war 2 weeks before Double Day, Thurs to Sunday (14-17 Jul, 11-14 Aug, 8-12 Sep, 13-16 Oct, 10-13 Nov,15-18 Dec).
Put a cap on slots scores – a slot score of 7500 would still give the scorer a good lead but would also make a more even playing field for others, thus making the final scores more competitive. It takes the challenge out of the day/s completely when a single slot score is more than what some players’ total score is for the day.
The suggestions above are purely based on my own ideas as well as what I have seen on global and any other suggestions will be welcome.

Score caps are not a good idea. Welcome to how casino games work, where you'll sometimes hit a jackpot, and sometimes lose your shirt. If you ever witness a real life slot tournament, it's basically a bunch of people slamming the "max" button as fast as they can for however long the event is. I'll give you that the slots are usually "loosened" during a tournament to give players a chance to catch up with a jackpot or long bonus, but that can sometimes give players a high score, and that's just the way it goes.
What could be a possible idea if you wanted to "balance" scores among games played is to limit how many times you can achieve a score. Real life casino game tournaments usually have a limit, whether it's time for slot machines, or number of hands for blackjack (poker is knockout but we can apply number of hands here). If war is meant to be sort of the casino's tournament "decathlon", treat it as if you're doing single events with time or hand limits, obviously accounting for when people are online to play by giving them 24 hours to do what would normally be 30-60 minutes. You get 3-5 chances to procure the best score you can, and then you need to move on to the next event.

Actually its more simple that just capping slot scores, As we all know the scores are heavily stacked with the combined score of spinners and slots and pretty much negates the other scoring . Bring the scores for poker, roulette, Soli and BJ in line with the spinner score and max them all @ 7500 including slots. There you have a fairer scoring system across the board.

I love all the wonderful ideas that Bee and SmilingKilla brought forth, If there is anyway to smash those two together a bit, I think we would have a great working War system in place. I know that no matter what tweeks are made someone isn't going to be happy that's life, we can't always make everyone happy but if the majority of players on the game would like to see some kind of version of this happen then I believe it to be a game win. I know the time war is played isn't always ideal for me, but if i want to play I make it work somehow, rather i am able to play all day or a few hours each day. But if nothing else is done to see our wishes for game improvements are met, at least giving us foreseen war dates would be very helpful. I hope you consider all of these options James/benji as we are trying to help you, help us still love this game.
It would not allow me to vote on this, if I could give it 3 votes I would have. :)

Oh wow, Killa I love your ideas! That all sounds good to me. Big slot scores can be the war winner but I do think that those who can be present most of the day are usually the biggest scorers too so time is a very big factor into who can potentially get a war winner trophy. That really does need addressed. I am one of those people who can be home most of the day but even though I have had that advantage, it is a chore and after day 1 or 2 i feel like a zombie. I think to make it fair to all who have work and family commitments that take up much of their day is for the best.

Scheduling the war isn't important to me but the scoring for the different events is important. The slot and the spinner scores should be leveled out.
I think each event should have a maximim point amount of 3500. That maximim should be for each event. Since all the events are based on luck and tenasisty, it will encourage the obsessed to go to get some sleep and prevent the luck from becoming suspicious.

I agree your Idea Bee,, I sure hope James can see it and make it happen, doing them on weekends takes away from time with family

Certainly can't argue that war could do with a revamp.
Firstly I think there should be a variable start day & time, always covering some part of the weekend will restrict some players who have more time during the week than at weekends although the 'surprise factor' is not really necessary.
There is too much of an imbalance between the scores for each of the challenges, for me spinners are more of an issue than slots, average scores for spinners are well over double that of most of the other challenges.
So to throw a couple of ideas into the mix....
Scoring...
Have the players war score based on their position in each challenge rather than the total of all the scores. for example if there are 150 players entered in the war then the player with the highest slot score would get 150 points, second highest 149 points etc and the same for all the other challenges. Add these points together for the players total score. This would remove the need for capping of slot scores and would also make it a level playing field across all of the challenges.Challenges...
Currently there are 6 challenges, this could be extended to 9 with the addition of craps, bingo and video poker. Either the game randomly picks 6 challenges from the available 9 each day or the player can decide which of the 6 challenges they would like to take part in. (or alternatively the player can do more than 6 challenges but will only count their 6 highest scores)Possibly limit the number of times each player can attempt each challenge. This would level the playing field somewhat between players who can spend all day warring and those who may only have a few hours each day to play. It would also help prevent war taking over the entire game for 3 days and allow players to war and once their card is maxed out they can go back to doing what they normally do on the game.
Poker...
Reduce the number of hands in each set to 15 to bring it into line with blackjack and roulette.Trophy...
There should be a special trophy for the actual winner of each war. -

5. I wwould like to see the poker scoring system revamped to something that actually reflects the game. Something so if poker is one of the games your skilled at, then it should be something you have a better chance at scoring well in. Right now, you dont even have to know how to play the game at all, and you have just as much of a chance as the most skilled player on the site. If someone bluffs a player with a better hand into folding, he should get credit for it. As it stands, its more of a chore, then it is a challenge.

I agree with all of what Bee has suggested. I was hoping for scorecards to change occasionally so that we play 6 different challenges on occasions such as craps and bingo etc being introduced as main scoring elements instead of team challenge as I think it would keep battlers on their toes and make things fresh however that may be a while off yet.
