mail rush not working well at all
First off no clues where to look, so I'm blindly wandering. says deliver in zone but what zone? npc's with the ! over their head seem to appear from nowhere and disappear just as fast, travel too fast to catch up, one went behind a casino and never reappeared. If you enter a casino it breaks the quest. I had a you've fail the quest message with 56 secs on the clock, when I returned to quest giver it said 8 packages to find, none picked up. To cap it all off I was left with a negative time count for the quest (see pic)

This mission has been completely redone in b160.

Thanks for the feedback.
We're currently doing significant work on missions. The current missions are all essentially "beta" content.
Over the next few weeks, we'll be rolling out more and vastly expanding that area of gameplay.

Hey guys! Not to be a complainer, but I have some feedback on the new mail mission. Before, it certainly was buggy- but searching in different casinos for envelopes was one of the few reasons to get out in the world and actually walk around. Now, it's just "take a taxi to the group of trash cans and come back".
Again, I mean no offense, and thank you for "fixing it", but the game is sorely lacking in things "to do", and this cut out one of the major ones. :-(

I still, quite often (maybe 1 out of 3 to 4 times), have all the NPCs straight up vanish while doing 'Mail Rush'.
Also, I was discussing just today with Swizzler how the past few days have been even worse with how many envelopes we've been finding. All of a sudden we can't seem to get more than 5 or so.
Thanks guys.

Thanks for the feedback. No worries about the duplicate ticket, we'll merge it. :0
The mail rush mission tends to be very difficult as a district matures, but we have plans to fix this very soon.

Same here can't see the timer when I am doing the mission Mail Rush. Can't see the letters on top of the NPC's most of the time. Also quite rarely when I exit a casino the map disappears.

I am going to "bump" this post as I am having the same issue, sometimes when I get the mission to deliver the letters to casino goers the missions bugs, I have no timer nor can I see the envelopes above the npcs, I need to refresh the page but when I do and relog I get mission failed

Just a warning, in the next update mail rush missions will follow the same format as chip race mission in that they fail on reload.
We know this is inconvenient, but strict time-based missions do not react well on reload since your browser dumps all data about the current state of the mission.

In regards to mission difficulty, we understand that the mission gets harder as a zone develops. We have plans update the mission so that the time allowed increases with the number and size of casinos in the district.
It's supposed to be very difficult to get all of the packages. The package types scale with your player level. At 15+, First Class Parcels worth 300 chips and 5 xp appear, and the rare "Curious Little Box" is worth a hefty 850 chips and 15 xp!
The idea is supposed to be you find as many valuable packages as possible and rush back. We're updating the mission description and text with the next update. Now it won't sound like you have to finish and get everything.

@VirtualJohn, thanks for the idea! There are certainly more issues that we need to sort out; however, the missions are meant to be mixed with the general population of the game. And, the city is meant to be built and shaped by the players. Cutting off sections of the city just for the purpose of missions is not something that we plan to do. There are other ways that we can better control the flow of these missions without blocking players out of zones.

It would also help in the short term if lifts were clickable to instantly activate them and the clock stopped while you enter a casino

I've seen some criticism about this quest and I agree it is getting harder. I'd like to make a suggestion about the future of this quest. I recognise you've done wonders with all the bugs you've fixed for this quest, but there is an inherent flaw with it, and that is the more the central zone is developed, ie both in casinos built on plots and multiple levels opened within the casinos, the harder it'll become to find the target NPCs. It takes time to enter a casino and even more walk across the floor to use the lift to go to the other levels. So my suggestion is this, when you do the next reset, before you go public, make the entire zone the quest is in unavailable for players to buy, develop the zone yourselves in a balanced way not too dissimilar to how it was when you introduced the quest. The benefit of this is that should you ever feel it needs tweaking you can by virtue of a bit of npc building, a bit of arson or even some civic redevelopment!

I did a refresh and it turned out I had started it and had 16 seconds to go!

is there meant to be a cool down period before you can take it again? I've no active missions, no indications that I shouldn't be able to take it but clicking accept just closes the panel, it doesn't start the quest

you are correct in that assumption and that may also be the case in the video I posted too.

That's a pretty interesting set of bugs.
Did you do another mail rush mission prior to the one in the picture?
I believe a prior mail rush mission didn't destroy properly after you completed or failed it. What you're seeing is the remnants of that mission still working in the background and confusing everything. That would cause everything you mentioned.
Sorry about the issues. We're currently cleaning up several aspects of the new missions.
