the big yellow dot on the mini-map representing the taxi - it isn't there or wasn't for most of the morning - I managed to set up 2 waypoints - when I clicked on a taxi and said to go to one of the waypoints, it put me in a field in Zone 10A

I don't quite follow what you are reporting here. If you provide some more details it will be easier for us to reproduce and fix. Thanks!

Just a heads up, you can already click on the map to place the pointer instead of dragging the map.

I would make the pointer move or just X a spot on the map - so much easier IMO

yep plus I can put myself right in my casino or in the entry if I try real hard - it's very jumpy but a little faster than walking right now as it is stuttering a lot

exactly, I suggest we be able to move the pointer instead or just click on the mini-map somewhere once in the taxi - makes more sense

Yes it doesn't feel natural:
-moving the map, while you actually want to move the pointer (= counter intuitive)
-map moves in steps of like 10px, instead of smooth panning

it seemed to work ok for me, but it feels like I must have jumped out of the moving cab to avoid paying the fare because I don't see the taxi pulling away from me and I'm standing in the middle of the street when I get where I wanted to go.
