CP prices
I feel that CPs in the market have gotten to the point that it is ridiculous. There may be other ways of bringing the prices down but I have been discussing my idea of running a special on cps for $ for a couple of weeks now. I noticed that someone else had the same suggestions. At any rate the prices should come down as with cp prices being higher makes the chip value less which cost casino owners when doing repairs. All ideas and suggestions are welcome.
Thanks

The higher price of cp's is mainly down to there now being so many chips in the game and as more chips are generated, they become worth less than before and therefore buy less (why it costs more to buy cp)
How about this as a way to a) reduce chips and b) increase cp in the game to help t counter this
When buying bombs (from what i can tell is one of the main uses of cp in the game) you have the option to pay using chips or cp
The chips price is set, say at 4.5m chips each (same as 50 cp being brought at 95k - but could be lower like at the equivalent of 80k each for example) or you pay the usual 50 cp per bomb.
This should save players from buying cp just to spend on chips, removing the cp from the game and driving prices up and also helps to remove chips from the game and therefore should help stablise cp prices which are being purchased for other uses

There are a few main ways to lower CP prices, either an artificial max price or by flooding the market with cp so that the supply outstrips demand and prices fall (which would be bad for those running the free to play site as they rely on players buying cp to keep the site going)
Another way to lower it would be to reduce the need to use them, reducing demand, which could be achieved through lowering or the scraping of fees for everything from repairs & replacements to purchase fees
Then there is the option of increasing cp payouts (so more awarded during game play, etc) which should help lower prices but again affect the sites income

If the bank sold cp's at a set price but still allowed the market to sell cp's. If the bank sold cp's for 30,000 the market could undercut and sell cp's what ever the wanted as long as it was under the 30,000. I think GoldFire should be able to make money off the game and I don't mind paying but the fees should be more evenly dispersed. Have more exclusives, Give incentives to decorate your casinos so more people will spend cps on the designs. Take a house fee from the poker games. Charge cp's to sit at the million chips table, or you have to pay 5 cps for every million you win. Increase the citizen fee but make being a citizen very desirable so everyone wants to be one.

I couldn’t agree more cowtoon..it’s “let’s fix this issue” by taking away or cutting into a citizen perk and..by everyone giving the developer a fee..that was a joke and wound up costing everyone including citizens rather than decreasing cp prices and putting a cap on them..I am very glad someone brought this up..tytyty cowtoon

James' attempt at helping, was to add a fee, applied to all sales of cp, a "success fee" to be paid by all players (including citizens). Everyone was penalized for the cp market problem. I believe this had a negative impact ... causing prices to go even higher, as players tried to cover the fees. I wish that fee would be removed.

you are exactly right and with the cost of repairs which is mainly cps for that added to the CPs it cost to lvl up not to mention having to replace un-repairable items it is already to the point it makes no sense to continue and many will not if the prices continue at the rate they are now..

Increasing CP prices causes less incentive to build/buy/improve casinos as the investment in property gives less and less in return

not sure in what way you mean as far as changes to casino profits...

Then there needs to be a change regarding profits from casinos

It isnt just needing CPs for repairs or anything else to do with casinos..that is part of it but to all of us that opens public floors on x2 Saturday. We should not have to pay huge amounts for CPs that we give back to the community. iI it continues to be ridiculous CP prices the public floors will be much less than they have been and many will stop doing it completely and by doing so it helps those that can not afford to be able to play the game like they would like to.

The Developers need to make money. This game, while fun, is also a business. Which means CP, by design, isn't supposed to be cheap. If it were no one would ever use real money to purchase it. "If no one purchases CP with real money, this game, we all enjoy playing, wont have the revenue to sustain itself.
No one likes paying high prices for CP, but at least they gave players the option to buy them with chips instead of cash."
This is very true, however, in the beginning the cps for purchase from seller's not James were going for 10k at the time,, until a hand full of peeps decided they would store all there extra cps at sky high prices just because they could! That had nothing to do with James and developers making there cut as you say.... We also bought Exculsives, CP's etc which paid for developer's and such in this game. Paying the developers is not the point here. The point here is getting the price of private sells of cp's back down to where they should be.... Not where a newbie can come on and sell 300 cps and become instant millionairs. Or making it easy for a hand full of peeps to have billions of chips so they can rule the market on everything.
If James was to put a cap on the private sells of CP's I am sure we will still need to buy CP's from him as well as Exclusives and special one time only Exclusive alone and again has nothing to do with private sells of cp's from the same greedy people that have there marked up the highest of everyone's on a daily basis no matter what. Most of us do our lotto scratch off's daily to help us get our cps we do slots-auto spins to get extra cps, tourney's etc. So I think we do everything in our power to get our cps before we are forced to pay these outrageous prices

thescarlett: because in the beginning, when this all started there was a hand full of players that decided to put all there cps up at sky high prices, they said "we are storing them here for safe keeping" then they said " we have a right to put them where we want, then that lead to outrageous prices. it kept climbing higher and higher no matter what. It's time for James to take them back down to where they were or something reasonable. this is crazy and we can't afford them anymore. It's not fair, and now all these players that did this have outrageous banks in the billions and rule the game and some are becoming bullies in Casino Auctions, Bank Auctions etc not to mention not many players can buy the cp's anymore. Many people are saying they are leaving the game and some have left because of it. It's not fair. It needs to be a fair market on sells of cps both at open market and on the house.

CP is the life blood of the game. so lets say we bring back too 10k per cp while their is players out there with 20 billion how do you think it will take for it too hit 70k per cp.
the reason the market is so high is because people are not willing to put the time into the game and take the easy out and just buy it. so the ones that are crying is the people that just want to buy cuz its a sellers markets so the ones that put the time in to the game are the winners.
so do ask your self if you gain from a low market or just let it as a free market and let it run to the value of what 1 cp cost on the day cuz it would not be at 70k if people where not willing to pay.
For those who say they think they are going to leave the game cause of the price of cp just start to put the time in to the game and it will reward you with cp it always has done stop looking for the easy way out

here is my thinking, the players are the ones who sets the price of the CP's as long as we keep purchasing them at higher prices they are going to stay there. It's all about greed. why would someone list cp's for 10K when they can get 75k for them? just saying

I just thought of one more thing, another reason why the cap is good is because it will stop the people with 6b to 15 billion or more even from owning this game, they can buy anything, They can out bid anyone on an Auction casino, or bid on just about anything they want on items at the bank auctions without blinking an eye, and do so. They rule this game. All from the sake of selling CP's just about on a daily basis to keep the high amount of chips. They do not want to see a cap on them at all. This will stop that, It's not fair for the smaller players or even the lone's with even 1 or 2 bil chips they can not compete with them. I have had a couple of them tell me if I bid on there stuff they will make me spend all my chips. I has happen several times. So it is a problem in so many way's you just don't know. again I think the cap should go back down to where it was before it jumped to crazy amounts in one week to 12k to maybe on the high side of 25k max. It does not need to be where it is, and it certainly does not need to be used as a bank. Please take all of this into consideration and listen to us. We are begging you to. With all the changes on here this one is the most important one I believe. I know you try you hardest to make us all happy, if you don't do it you are only making 5 to 8 people happy, making the rest mad. If you do make a change for the better you will making about 95% happy and I think you want to makes us happy to keep us here I would believe. once again thanks in advance for hearing us out.

I do agree something has to be done with the cost of cp's for sale, It has gotten out of hand, I remember when they went from 10k to over 30k almost over night. All because "we are just keeping our CP's here rather than where they go" We have the right to do that. All it did was run the price up to now no one can afford them. I do think James you need to return all the pending cps for sale and then place a Cap on them. I have heard of several people saying they are going to leave or thinking about leaving because the cost of this game has gone to high. In fact I have also heard that the game that a lot of these long time players came from (Phantom) Live is coming back. see the following link to prove it. http://reeldeallive.net/boards?fbclid=IwAR0eMmk5NUD6CH3b5d_nj3uhiWqF3JyPZSVE6vaA0G13Xk2-uo3z-f0 so I can understand if the cost remains to high to play here others and maybe me will look to go back to live where we came from where there was a one time a month fee of $7.95 to play hundreds of slots, games of all types, Tournaments all you want 24 hrs round the clock. Quest of all sorts, adventures and all sorts of things and our avi's in 3D. Does not take a lot to look that way when we can't afford this any more. A lot of us came here as friends and would like to remain friends. So I would hate to see a mass exit in your game that you have worked so hard on all because of the price of cp's in general both in the market and by the house. I myself know I spend a few grand a year in this game. With the ECONOMY going the way its going and none of us knowing what is coming next in this crazy world. We will get desperate to make a change one way or another. We would hope that you could work with us here our cries and help us out on this problem that has been talked about for well over 2 years now, all for the sake of 5 or 6 people choosing to store there cp's in the market vs leaving them in there account where they should be. There needs to be a cap of like 30k to 35k make maybe do a 3% increase every year and call it a cost of living raise if you will or something like that. Please take this into consideration. I know you read all of these and listen to your players and we are pleading with you at this time.
