Where things are at least credits and ship parts, and possibly red gems and crystals. (see below)

This would work somewhat like post boxes. You'd go to the relevant part of Beacon Bay, select some things you own, pick a player name, and perhaps write a short message. The target player would get a notification and can come fetch it at Beacon Bay. If they aren't online at the time it'll just be held for them until they can get around to it.

To prevent abuse of this system, there probably have to be some restrictions.

1) You can't send things until (say) level 15, and you can't receive things until after you verify your email address. This should largely stop people from trying to profit off of throwaway accounts.

2) You may only send level 1 parts, not upgraded parts. This would prevent people from sharing ownership of really high level parts, which would break game balance.

Sending credits and parts is obviously useful. I'm not sure if sending crystals is useful or a good idea. If crystals can be transfered this way they should not count for a daily quest or for races, so the only thing you can really do is sell them for credits anyway. As long as that's all you can do with crystals I'd say it's not necessary to be able to send them to someone else.

I'm unsure about red gems. They would make for nice gifts, but we don't want to encourage people to make multiple accounts and do the daily on each one. On the other hand, completing a daily is not a trivial time investment, and you get more red gems from just playing than from the bonus at the end anyway.
