You may be able to enhance the poker experience by emphasizing the winner of each hand and what the winning hand is. When a poker hand is won, there is a small announcement written along with the game's ledger. This could be shown on the game board for the benefit of all players.
One way to do this could be to fade the cards that are not part of the winning set of 5 cards, and to brighten, back-glow, "grow", or raise up visually the cards that are part of the winning set.
The information related to the type of win and the winning player could also be displayed on the screen.
If the player participated in the final hand, the type of hand he put together could be written out for comparison purposes, but this may be cumbersome, or just difficult to make visually pleasing.
