Seasonal terrain
I'm not sure how much terrain is "owned" by the game as opposed to the players, but having some terrain change with the (real-world, Northern hemisphere) seasons could add an element of novelty to the game. This would probably be a lower-priority feature, but would add some "oh-cool" to the game.

This is technically something we already do to an extent. We've re-themed much of the outdoors for Halloween and Christmas and plan to do so for other holidays as well.
