This is a VERY annoying issue. You should be able to place your cursor at the word you wish to correct. Backspace, delete, add a letter etc. Instead you place your cursor where you want it, start typing and it might look like nothing is happening, But for some reason what you just typed is showing up about 6 words away. Now you have to fix that. But you have to figure out where to type in order to correct it. By the time you figure out how to correct the 3 letter typo, 3 pages of chat have gone by and nobody will even know what youre talking about.
