It should be possible that an exocraft could dodge the guardians' shots. Instead of having harmless blanks and heat-seeking missiles, make it so that all of the shots fly in straight lines and can damage all exocraft. That way, you don't have missiles following you with no escape or blanks that just pass right by you.
